Valley Farm Diary - September 2010

Peace perfect peace! Everyone has gone, the horses have had some well earned rest... the fields and we have been doing 'catch up' by spring cleaning the stables, yards, buildings and garden.

An unfortunate event this month. Kelpie had her foal, a most perfect colt, but it was stillborn. Very sad for all. However, Silver the fallabella has done a wonderful job of comforting her and being substitute foal.

Other than that very little has happened. We had our BHS Where To Train inspection one very hot afternoon, a few birthday parties and weddings but otherwise we have had a bit of a rest after the busy summer.

I think everyone, animals and humans had earned a bit of a rest!
