Valley Farm Diary - November 2012

Interesting month! Floods, rain, wind, floods. But we worked around most of it...
...One dog agility competition had to be cancelled due to flooding but otherwise we managed to carry on. The Mock Hunt went ahead and was well supported. Everyone had some good gallops on a very beautiful autumn day.

One morning we woke up to find the Carina Arena viewing shed had vanished. There was just a small corner of it sticking up out of the ditch. Thankfully we were able to rescue it with the digger and it is now tethered to some fencing posts!

Santa called for Nimbus and Snow with their wedding carriage to drive him around Aldeburgh again which they obligingly did in a persistent downpour. Santa was very good about the weather and said it was nothing compared with what he has to go through on Christmas Eve when he's flying round.

At the end of the month we all raised our spirits by taking some of the livery owners and the students to Topthorn Arena to do some show jumping. It was bitterly cold and icy but everyone had a terrific time and hope to fit in another visit as soon as we can find the time.
