Valley Farm

The Animal Collection

Our Animal Collection is open to the public throughout the year, from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
However, during the winter months although the riding school is still open daily, except Christmas, there is not quite so much to see.
The animal collection helps to raise funds for various charities and admission charges of around £2.00 per person are encouraged for the Camargue Horse Society.

Staring:

Visitors are welcome to watch the riding lessons, the foals being worked, and whatever activities are going on during their visit. For example the farrier may be at work, or the carriage horses may be going out.

If you book in advance, or if you time your visit when we are not too busy, it may be possible to arrange an excursion with a carriage and horses, or a pony ride for the children. Very small children may ride one of our miniature ponies. We can also do pony rides for children, and adults who are still children at heart on one of our Heavy Horses. No riding experience is necessary, and we have safety hats available here to borrow, but you will need to wear trousers and boots if you want to ride. Charges apply for riding activities so please speak to a member of staff who can advise you on the best options for your family.
