White Horse Weddings

Welcome to the White Horse Weddings web page and congratulations to those of you about to get married.

We have a wide range of white horses and elegant carriages available for hire for weddings, proposals, anniversary excursions, sikh weddings, pleasure drives and other special occasions. Our horses and carriages are also available for television and film work, so you may have seen them before.

(Wedding Carriage) (Wedding Carriage)
Make your wedding day extra special, Arrive in style with an elegant carriage drawn by two of our beautiful white horses

For your special day you will want nothing but the best, and White Horse Weddings has a long tradition of providing a high quality service. We pride ourselves on the fact that we have been able to make weddings that little bit extra special since 1984.

For those of you concerned about the weather, our open Landau carriage is ideal because, with its two retractable hoods which can be raised in seconds, you can be sure of complete protection from sudden rain showers. When the hoods are closed, windows let the bride and groom be seen.

(Landau Picture)Our experienced pair of horses driven by a fully trained coachman and groom, will ensure that your day runs smoothly. Our horses are specifically chosen for their suitability and we always have spare trained horses available ensuring that should one be unwell the we are still able to fulfil our commitments.

If you have not previously had the pleasure of travelling by horse and carriage, you are about to discover the grandeur and elegance of a previous era that cannot be equalled. On a busy day, travelling in a horse drawn carriage gives you the opportunity to sink back into the comfortable seats, relax, listen to the hoofbeats, and take time to absorb all the excitement of the day.

In the above picture, you can see how by closing the hoods, this carriage offers total protection form the weather. The bride can still be seen through glass windows, which emerge from the doors.

Price Guide
From £550 depending on distance from Wickham Market
(leaving the church)

Standard services provided
Landau carriage and pair of white horses, driven by coachman and groom in full livery to convey bride and father of bride to the church, then after the service, to take the bride and groom to the reception.

If the distance from the church to the reception is in excess of four to five miles it may not be possible to complete the whole journey with the carriage, due to the time involved and also limitation of the horses. In these circumstances we normally take the bride and groom a few miles down the road, where they would then transfer to a car to complete their journey to the reception. These details can be discussed before booking.

Extra services
A small bridesmaids waggonette and white horse is also available. P.O.A. If the distance from the house to the church is very short, we can arrange to take the bridesmaids first then return for the bride at a small extra charge.

(Horses and Carriage) Guarantee of satisfaction
In order to ensure that all the arrangements come together perfectly we always visit a few weeks before the wedding to check access to the house/church/reception and to agree upon a suitable route for the carriage. We also welcome you to visit our centre should you wish, before booking, to see for yourself the quality of the horses and the carriage. We know you will not be disappointed.

Please contact us for further details, to discuss your individual requirements and to check that your wedding date is available.
